Here I found city myself in the city of Oshogbo where I just returned to. for the completion of my internship program as a civil engineer .

Now, here I came into “Osogbo”, Capital state of osun. .

on a faithful midweek evening. I dashed out of the house, finding my way to a barber shop, a 10 min walk away from our house.
a very nice model , beautiful barber shop.  I entered.  Sat down,  looking at the beauty of the space around me.
Then comes my eye upon a  written / typed  words on a paper . Pasted to the wall, pinned beside a mirror for service user to read .

Stating ( “ service on credit is a killer to business , pls don’t ask for free service or service on credit “ )

ohh ohhh. like seriously . did I just read that with my eyes.
 "Yeah I just did".

And this really touches my mind, and I started questioning myself right on the barber chair.
How on earth will someone come to a luxury place like this, and still ask for free service or service on credit.
At the same spot.  I realize that, it doesn’t matter how well you package yourself as an entrepreneur for whatever kind of service you rendered. People will just, cant, but ask for free service and service on credit. though , depends on the type of existing relationship between the service provider and its users. 

And have also discovered.   this is a faction that’s affecting every startup entrepreneur, which I was ounce a victim of this insolence act of service user/consumer .
But we need to get something’s right. I need to clarify and to make known to us a huge advantage and disadvantages that free service can offer you as a startup entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur, young startup business.  Who is seeking for relevance and recommendation in the market space.    There are certain things you need to know.

Unfortunately.  Most times we have fallen like a pray into the hands of predators in disguise of promising us recommendation and relevance we seek as a service provider.

Most times, we have failed to recognize our self for whom we supposed to be .
 Overlooking what we can achieve together, provided we have a strong networking scheme or ability for self marketing .





Our predators has promised our business lots of good things , and at the end of terrific sea turbulence .
 At the end , we discovered that we were just used for their selfish interest. 
and many more will continue to fall  a victim.
 but I strongly believe that at the end of this talk. You will wise up .

1.       Understanding your value . the first step into getting off  skills predators hook  is to understand your value, your potential .
Ask your self,  the services you want to render, how much does it worth . what’s  at stake for anyone who would like to make use of my services

2.       Understand Market competition:   A farmer who  labored and have a harvested the fruit of his labor , decided to push  his products into the market. Without having a formal knowledge about quantity and quality charges in the market will discover that he has lost so many. in terms of conversion rate of cash exchange

Know when to give discount, how to give offer via coupon scheme. And other necessary aspect

3.        Have a standard mode of operation  :  don’t just gamble around  without a goal to achieve as a service provider . classify your service into different section, in respect to different income level
of service user . eg Basic. classic , standard , Premium , lots more

4.       Be Consistent  : one notable sign of a prospering brand or business is the act of consistency in their mood of operation .  don’t just open a shop today and close it tomorrow , or coming to office at any time , and expect a positive improvement. you  have got to be consistent

I don’t want to  bored you with lots of content , but you must hear this .




When and How to give a free service


Ability to maneuver free service for business growth is by wisdom.  Especially for digital asset service provider .
Here is a tip in achieving that.  Look out for those who are liable to use your service , but haven’t or existing customers.
Ounce in a while.  give them free services. Don’t charge them, and make sure such service wont affects your business lifeline .   its important to check that .
however , the benefit of giving a free service , ( “mind you” not all the time .)  is that , you are automatically building trust and loyalty towards your business ,   and in doing so , you  begin to realize  referral l  system has been built ..
