What does it mean to boost post by business owner who runs business online. 

It's a common term or technique used by social media provider to business owners which in other hand will increase the number of engagement on a post.

 

 just before I drive you deep into why you shouldn't make use of boost posts button. 

 let me take you back in time to how social media works for business purposes. 

in the beginning,  facebook was created to make people come together,  that was before they decided to add more features. 

Their algorithm works in such a way that if a business owner makes a post,  be it on business page or personal account. 

facebook will make sure they show your post to as many people as possible. 

In those days,  you don't need sponsored adverts to reach the right people. 

Unfortunately,  things has changed because facebook also needs to grow financially and to be able to pay its workers. 

Fast Forward. Facebook changed third algorithm to only promote post within thier community and not allow business owners to drive people from facebook to their business website except by paid traffics advert. 

facebook needs money and they are smart to device how they will get it. 

Obviously,  it's the  business owners that pays facebook while other people enjoy facebook for free.

 intentionally  make sure a business post doesn't reach the right people based on the fact that they needed business Owner to pay before  they can access the platforms  users. 

Have you ever think of why a  business account will have about 5k followers and it's  only 200 people who actually saw their post.

Facebook and other companies introduced  what we called 

Organic and Inorganic.
